The Perfect Time to Book
Honestly there are no right or wrong answers here, as we have seen it all. We have seen people book a week before the wedding and some 3 years before their wedding. The one tip we can give you is that the more in advance you are, the more options you have.
In general, if you ask any photographer/cinematographer, they will tell you the sooner, the better, but reality is 1 year to a 1 & 1/2 in advance is often the perfect middle ground to having many choices, and not bending over backwards or having any stress. In our case, we are not any photographer/cinematographer, we are a team of them. We have over 4 Main photographers and 3 Main cinematographer. Which means, we have way more availability than your typical wedding photographer. All our photographers have been trained and have been shooting for and with de Belle photography for years now. They each have their own style and ways of shooting, yet always obtain the de Belle photography aesthetic and final result.
Being a big team means yes, the earlier you reserve, the more available team members you will have, but the reality is we are pretty much always available.
Now another tip is that every year there are busy seasons in wedding bookings. September & beginning of October are always super busy months, so if you are getting married in these months, it is to consider to book slightly more in advance as it does happen to have extremely busy dates, and being booked up by all of our team. Which is why we tend to suggest booking anywhere between 6 months to a year in advance.
